Three OCEC Board of Director Positions Open for this Election Cycle
Winthrop, Washington (January 9, 2013) – Three OCEC Board of Director positions are open in this election cycle. OCEC members will have the opportunity in April to elect members to represent them on the board. The positions open are District 1, District 3 and an At-Large District.
District 1 represents the area along Highway 20 from the Chewuch River in Winthrop to the Lost River Area including Wolf Creek. District 3 starts south of Winthrop and includes the area around Twisp and the Twisp River area. A detailed map showing the districts is attached and is also on the OCEC website (www.okanoganelectriccoop.com).
Incumbent Paul Taylor (District 3) will seek re-election. Ron Perrow (At-Large) and Pat Leigh (District 1) will not seek re-election.
Per the OCEC By-Laws, a Nomination Committee will be formed to ensure qualified candidates are on the ballot.
If you are a member of OCEC and either want to run for one of the Board open positions or be on the Nomination Committee, please contact David Gottula at 509-996-2228. To be included on the ballot sent to members, nominations must be received at OCEC offices by February 22nd.
